WEEEK Week #33: New filters in the web. Boards and comments on iOS
In fact, the main changes this time remained under the hood — we finally released a huge internal update, with which we can quickly improve WEEEK. Well, along the way, we accelerated the service with a large number of tasks, slightly changed the filters and added boards and comments to the iOS app.
Changes in the operation of filters
Previously, only the creator could see all tasks for all projects in the workspace. This prevented many users from working. This feature is now available to all users of the workspace.
In addition, filters now directly affect the setting of tasks. For example, if you have enabled filters by task type and performer, all new tasks will automatically be assigned the values of these filters.
In short, now you can put a lot of tasks on a specific performer without unnecessary gestures. I struggle with routine!
Boards in the iOS app
Initially, in WEEEK on iPhones, you could only view tasks in list mode — this was convenient, but many users are used to working in whiteboard mode. And now, finally, this day has come — we have added boards to WEEEK on iOS.
In the upper-left corner, the view mode switch: list or whiteboards appeared. To work in whiteboard mode, you must first select a project, and then, next to the view mode switch, select the desired whiteboard.
Functionally, the boards in the mobile app are not inferior to the boards in the web version. You can:
- create new boards and edit existing ones,
- add and change columns,
- drag and drop tasks between columns, etc.
Comments in the iOS app
Another long-awaited and important feature has finally reached the iOS app — comments.
A comment counter appeared inside the task, right under its name. Clicking on it opens a discussion of the problem: there is a comment feed, task name, responsible person, and a field for creating a comment. As in the web version, comments can be deleted.
